Honiton Town Under-10’s took on Twyford Spartans and Gladiators at a cold and frosty St Ritas.

First up against the Spartans, Honiton found themselves under pressure from a strong, well-drilled side, but a combination of good defending and some excellent saves from goalkeeper, Olly Turl, saw them restrict the visitors to a single goal at the break.

The second half saw Honiton lose a bit of concentration and Twyford managed a further five goals with the game ending 6-0.

Next up they took on the Gladiators and a good performance saw them dominate play from start to finish.

Two goals from Laura-Beth Outram saw them lead 2-0 at half-time and the second period followed a similar pattern although Honiton only managed a further goal from Caleb Freemantle to win 3-0 and record their second victory of the season.

Players to stand out were Matthew Beviss and Shane White along with debutant Jack Hawker.
