Millwey Rise Reserves went down 7-0 on their visit to Dawlish United Reserves for a Macron League Division Eight game, writes Dick Sturch.

Having lost so many players to the club’s senior side, it was obvious that the second team would face a tough time in South Devon, and so it proved.

It was very much one way traffic with a gallant effort from the back three to stem the flow of goals.

Unfortunately the midfield was unable to provide any service to ease the pressure and Stuart King was left a lone unsupported figure up front.

The second team Man of the Match, for the second week running was James Rocket, who is sponsored by Axminster Printing Company Ltd.

On Saturday (September 8) the second team travel to Mid Devon to face Cheriton Fitzpaine Reserves in a Geary Cup tie (2pm).
