Playing with a very youthful side Millwey Rise reserves eventually went down by four goals to a Chard Rangers team several places above them in the table, writes Dick Sturch.

Two goals in each half saw Chard take the points. For Millwey Rise, Sam Turner in centre midfield turned in a great effort together with James Harvey at centre back while Wayne Jenkins in defence left his usual imprint on the game. On Saturday (March 21), the Reserves travel to Barrington (2.30pm).

Millwey Rise FC would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the family of the late Henry Trenchard, a founder member, Captain and player, for designating the funeral collection of £350 to the Club.”
