Offwell Rangers certainly had their shooting boots on for their latest Fresha League game as they scored 14 without reply when they entertained Amory Green Rovers.

With the Tiverton side’s pitch unfit for action the game was hastily switched to the drier surface of Rangers.

The goal scoring honours were led by Daniel Williams with four whilst Ashley Trudgeon bagged a hat-trick and Harry Hutton slotted a brace. The single goal scorers were Jamie Westwood, Stephen Curry, Ernie Stobbs, Jake Phillips and goal keeper Ben Kayes, the latter stroking home a penalty.

Rangers have now moved to within three points of fourth place and a promotion charge is very much on!

Boss Scott Phillips said: “It was a solid all-round performance. We took a little while to get going, but as soon as the first goal went in we didn’t stop and kept pushing for more.”

Match sponsors Carol Hawkins Childminding opted for Ernie Stobbs to be awarded the Rangers Man of the Match honour.
