Offwell Rangers climbed to sixth in the Fresha League Division Seven table after a 6-0 win at Pinhoe.

Rangers boss Scott Phillips said: “It’s time to place on record my sincere thanks to the players at the club for their individual and collective patience. It takes time for things in a new team to gel. Had there not been so many things to sort out at the club then I don’t doubt we’d have got to where we are a lot quicker. The performance at Pinhoe was impressive. The back four is now producing solid disciplined displays and keeper Ben (Kayes) is proving to be a great organiser with some terrific communication. Up top the front three carry a real threat whilst whoever gets the shirt in a midfield role does us proud game after game.”

Daniel Williams notched a double and there was one goal for Jamie Westwood, but the goal scoring honours were again taken by Ashley Trudgeon who chalked up a third successive hat-trick.

Phillips said: “Some of the goals were exceptional. Its is good to have Brad Spiller and Dean Thomas back in the team. They are quality players and add so much to us when they play. We now have a strong squad capable of taking us further. Picking a star player for the Pinhoe game is almost impossible given how much everyone contributed. Therefore I’ll take the easy way out and give it to the whole team – they all deserve it!”
