A youthful Honiton Town third team were winners by the odd-goal in three against Kentisbeare Reserves in a Fresha League Division Nine meeting.

The visitors, a well-organised side, led 1-0 during a period of the game dominated by the Hippos!

Matt Urquhart levelled things up and a powerful header by Kieran Pike from a corner completed the scoring.

The visitors finished the game strongly, but the Town defence held firm and there is no reason why this Hippos eleven cannot now go on and achieve a top three place in the division.

It’s an East Devon derby this Saturday (October 31) with the third team travelling to meet Axminster III.
