Millwey Reserves, after several recent single goal defeats, at last came good winning by the odd goal in three at home to Lapford, writes Dick Sturch.

In a very competitive game, which highlighted Millwey’s improvement in recent weeks, Mark Pike, dropping down from the club first team, made his presence felt scoring both goals.

The inclusion of Joel Seward gave the team extra bite and together with the displays of Sam Thomas and young Jack Bennet in the back four gave a massive boost of confidence for the future.

On Saturday (November7), the side make the short trip to Feniton Thirds (2.15pm).
