Upottery Reserves were good value for a 3-1 win over Bravehearts in a Macron League Division Six game at Glebe Park.

Upottery made a bright start, but fell behind to a Bravehearts penalty that came against the run of play.

Stung by falling behind, it took Upottery just three minutes to restore parity when 16-year-old striker Cody Tratt-Skinner slalomed past four opposition players before drilling the ball home.

Ten minutes later, Upottery had the lead with Gavin Richards rifling home a penalty awarded when Olly Cramer was upended in the area.

At half-time, Upottery were forced to make a change with centre back Jamie Westwood unable to continue owing to a hamstring problem. Fortunately, ‘Big Phil’ Derryman came on to solve this problem, and Upottery took the game by the scuff of the neck, and eventually sealed their victory with a Gavin Richards 25-yard free kick, superbly executed 15 minutes from full-time.
