Honiton Demons Under-12s were 3-2 winners when they defeated Moors Cobras in Tiverton.

Demons made a sluggish start and fell behind to an early goal. However, despite the setback the defensive trio of Harry Horn, Brendan Wright and Adam Dunford settled into the contest and began to deal effectively with the home team’s long-ball approach.

Demons levelled when Jake Mabbutt touched the ball home following a corner.

However, almost immediately the Demons defenders stood off as a Moors player ran through and fired past Josh Edwards to restore the home lead.

The game’s fourth goal, a second Demons equaliser, was an early candidate for the clubs ‘goal of the season’!

Connor Richards beat a couple of home players before striking the sweetest of volleys.

The second half was a tight affair with Ross Hurford, Kian Wright, James Pring and Dominic McCreadie Taylor combining well to nullify any home attacks and the only goal of the second half, the match winner, was netted by Jake Mabbutt to seal a superb win for the Demons.
