Seaton Town held by Chard as Wakeley makrs return with goal

Seaton Town 1, Chard Town 1
Town took their unbeaten run to five games, but boss Keith Somers was left feeling two points had got away.
He explained saying: “At one-up and looking good we had what we felt was a clear goal chalked off by a linesman’s flag for an apparent off-side. That was hard on a clean strike by Alex Wheatley.”
Seventeen-year-old Seth Wakeley marked his first senior outing since he broke his collar bone earlier in the season by heading Town into a 15th minute lead.
In the second half the visitors pressed the ball well and levelled with 20 minutes remaining. Thereafter both sides looked to win the game, but honours ended even.
On Saturday Town travel to Clyst Valley and they will have the talents for Peter Knox and Glen Gould available after the pair missed the draw with Chard Town.
Somers is very clear as to what he wants from this game: “Three points, I demand nothing more and expect the lads to deliver.”
