Seaton Town Under-13s narrowly edged out by Pinhoe Spartans

Seaton Under-13s were narrowly beaten in their first game of the season, losing 2-0 to Pinhoe Spartans.

The visitors had lots of possession in the first half, but the Seaton defence of Taylor, Liam and Dylan were defending superbly, limiting the Pins to long-range shots.

After the break the deadlock was finally broken when Elliot was beaten by a stunning strike.

Seaton responded well, but had no subs to provide fresh legs and a second late goal was conceded.

Coach Mark Rooke said: “Although Pinhoe deserved to win the game this was a very pleasing start to the season and we showed we are capable of playing some great football. The whole team were magnificent but Man of the Match goes to Dylan Freathy for an amazing debut in defence.”

Seaton are still looking for more players of any ability so if any one would like to play football on a Saturday morning please contact Mark Rooke on 07790857783.
