Seaton Under-10s edged out in terrific cup tie

Seaton Under-10s were edged by the odd goal in five when they met Crediton Youth Galaxy in the first round of the Exeter and District Youth League KO cup.

After the Mid Devon side took the lead a superb long-range drive from Max Nevell had the teams all square at half-time. Two early second half goals put Seaton on the back foot, but a wonderful strike from the halfway line from Harvey Green set up a grandstand finish.

Seaton threw everything they had at trying to manufacture a third, but, despite their best efforts, it was not to be.

In a terrific all-round show the shifts of Christian Pinnock and George Gait in midfield were eye-catching and the Seaton Man of the Match award went to the outstanding Adam Clinch – a defensive leader who never let the Crediton attackers rest.
