Seaton Under-10s enjoyed no luck on their visit to Tiverton for their latest two Exeter and District Youth League outings.

First up, against Moors, they made a slow start and fell behind to an early goal.

Eventually Seaton settled into the contest and Henry Matthews applied a cool finish to level the scores. However, Moors struck again late in the game to win by the off goal in three.

Next up Seaton took on the Eagles who played with a direct style of play. The game was nicely poised at half-time, with Eagles 1-0 up and Seaton competing well.

However, injuries combined with sickness forced a reshuffle and the game changed as Seaton temporarily lost their shape and discipline. Three quick goals followed inside five minutes before Aaron Hale struck a sweet consolation from the edge of box.

Seaton finished the game strongly, creating several other good chances.

Coach Alan Hale said: “The team needs to be consistent for a whole game. When they can manage that they will win the type of games they took part in at Tiverton.”

The Seaton Man of the Morning award went to Harvey Green who covered every blade of grass on the Mid Devon pitch.
