Seaton Under-16s gave an impressive all-round performance before going out of the Exeter and District Youth League KO Cup to fancied Sidmouth.

Playing against a number of players who are involved in the Devon County Under-16 squad, it was Seaton who struck first with Lewis Cottam the scorer. It got better for Seaton as Max Richardson doubled the lead!

The two-goal advantage remained until the final 20 minutes when Seaton’s massive effort began to catch up with them and tired legs came to the fore.

Sidmouth took advantage and scored four times in the closing stages, but Seaton gave a very confident outfit plenty to think about! Jamie Tait was named the Man of the Match for Seaton who are back in action this Saturday with a derby match at Millwey (10.30am).
