Smith stars as Seaton Town Under-15s edged out by Sidmouth Town

Seaton Town Under-15s were edged out by the odd goal in five in a thrilling local derby with Sidmouth.

In a slow start Seaton shipped tow early goals but responded well with Connor Cox, Brandon Curl, Jamie Tait and Ricky Littley prominent.

Sidmouth extended their lead with a penalty, but some fine approach play by Pete Smith ended with Lewis Cottam making it 3-1 before half-time.

After the break Seaton continued to press with Max Richardson, Tony Pinder, Lewis Pearson and Matty Vincent all going close before Ollie Binion netted to make it 3-2, but the equaliser was not forthcoming and Seaton ended on the wrong end of a 3-2 score line. The Seaton Man of the Match award went to Pete Smith.

On Saturday Seaton travel to Milwey Rise (10.30am).
