Fun football skills is a local business set up to help all young players enjoy football and learn at the same time. We are running a number of different programs through the summer.
We have already had a great start to the summer holiday camp, getting a mix of different ages, a range of different talent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Fun Football Skills are running three more camps until the end of the summer, starting with Kiddy Wink Camp running from Wednesday, August 17 to Friday, August 19, on Allhallows playing field.
This is for the younger players that love to kick the ball around. Anybody aged between three and five years old are welcome to come along and play.
The camp is based on having as much fun as possible, we play games where the kids are just learning the basic skills, dribbling and passing and then finishing it off with scoring lots of goals.
For older players there are two camps being run from August 22 – 26.
The morning camp (10am-2pm)is for ages six to 14 years old. Each day has a different theme to do with a country around the world made famous by football.
The primary focus is on skills work for the first part of the morning session. After a small snack break it’s a session of playing game using the new skill and then, after lunch all players get split into world cup teams and play a round robin tournament for the last hour of the day. This camp is a fantastic way for the players that enjoy playing football and want to learn new skills.
The afternoon camps targets the seven year olds to 14 year olds and runs from 4pm to 7pm.
Each day has a different theme to work on the different skills that will help through the football season, from Monday being passing to Thursday being defending. The different days will cover passing, dribbling running with the ball, control and turns, defending and shooting.
Both morning and evening camps are run at Honiton football club. Fun Football are also running small one our sessions for shooting and goalkeeping. Shooting is on August 18, and is from 1pm till 2pm or 2pm till 3pm. The goalkeeping sessions run on August 19, from 1pm to 2pm and then 2pm to 3pm.
The session is for any goalkeeper with any experience. These sessions are run on Allhallows playing field in Honiton. Skills are also running small one hour programs for shooting and goalkeeping.
