Honiton Town Reserves were 4-1 winners when they met University.

After a flat first half that saw precious few chances created at either end Town moved up a gear and scored some excellent goals.

Tim Genders (2), Blake Freemantle and Louis Grant scored the Town goals and there were fine performances from Aaron Pearse, Brett Sellick and Kieran Conway. However, every player involved put a shift in.

The Town third team powered to an 8-1 success at Millwey Rise Reserves.

New Town thirds boss Andrew Pike saw his charges tear into the home side. Ryan Piike was the key orchestrator of all the positive things the team produced. The star, in terms of goal scoring was Charlie Freeman who notched a hat-trick.

Boss Pike said: “With effort levels like that, we will be fine this season. All their hard work has been undone though by me finding one sock inside out in the kit bag!”
