AXMINSTER Town's miserable form continued as they were thumped 4-0 at University.

For the first half an hour of the each half, Town were the dominant force but, despite crafting some exceptional scoring opportunities, they conceded a sloppy goal from a defensive point of view.

Two late goals compounded the misery for the Tigers who finished the game well beaten. Boss Ray Self said: "It was so disappointing because University are most certainly not the side they have been in recent seasons. We are suffering from a chronic lack of belief. We are creating scoring chances and not taking them and, I am afraid, then conceding too many similar goals."

There's no game for the Tigers this weekend.
