Upottery 2, University 3

Upottery found themselves two goals down to the Students who played the first 15 minutes with just eight players!

The villagers were back in the contest thanks to a Jack Reed goal, but an own goal soon restored the visitors two goal advantage.

Catalin Pislaru rifled in a second half cracker, but, despite throwing everything at the Students in the closing stages the equaliser would not come and Upottery were left beaten.

Boss Dan Prettejohn said: “It was pretty embarrassing to be behind to a team playing three short! But once we got our act together we played some good stuff. Poor finishing cost us.”

Prettejohn’s team have a big task this Saturday when they travel to try and end the unbeaten season of Crediton United who sit second and who have won all five of their home games in league and cup this season.
