Upottery Reserves have made a tremendous start to their new life as a Fresha league side.

The villagers, under the management of Dave Spiller have now played two and won two and kept two clean sheets in the process after a 4-0 home win over Bickleigh Reserves in a Geary Cup tie.

They are fortunate enough to have in goal Chris Palfrey who last season was between the posts for high-flying Fresha Premier side Feniton.

Dan Hole and Dean Crabb fired the team into a half-time lead and second half goals from Matthew Frost and Ollie Cramer gave the Reserves a handsome victory.

Boss Spiller said: “It was a good all-round show. Everyone put a shift in for the cause. The lads have made a fine start to the new term and hopefully we can continue in a similar way for the remainder of the campaign.”
