Upottery suffered a blow to their Fresha League Division Two title hopes when they were held to a 4-4 draw by Newtown 2nds at Glebe Park on Wednesday night.

The two points dropped leave the villagers having to win Saturday’s meeting with title rivals University 4ths.

Only a Glebe Park success on Saturday and then wins from both their remaining two matches will ensure Dan Prettejohn’s side of the title.

Upottery are already guaranteed a top three finish and with it a place in next season’s second tier of Fresha League football.
