It was with great sadness that Honiton Town Football Club announced the passing of former manager Alan Lewis following a long-term battle with cancer.
Alongside Graham Bedford, Alan managed the Hippos in the South-West Peninsula League and also had spells with the likes of Ottery St Mary, Stoke Gabriel and Holsworthy.
Alan arrived at Honiton halfway through the 2018-19 campaign and helped steady the ship at Mountbatten Park.
A statement on the Honiton Town social media pages said: “Alan was a very likeable man amongst the dressing room and had a very infectious personality and will be sadly missed.
“Everyone at the club sends their deepest condolences and love to Alan’s family during this unimaginable situation.”
