The Foundation Brooch, awarded to the player with the lowest nett score, was won this year by Sharon Dacre with a nett score of 72, writes Andy Wagner.

Mind you, Mona Carter gave her a run for her money, equalling Sharon’s score, but missing out on count back.

Some great scores were also achieved in the August Medal last Wednesday with Mona Carter winning for Silver Division with a nett 72, just ahead of Jane Watts with a nett 73.

In Bronze 1, Sharon Dacre came out on top with a nett 72, just beating Brenda Hyde on nett 73.

In Bronze 2 victory went to Lesley Oxenham with a nett 76, closely followed by Majson Stroud on nett 77 and in third place Jennifer Pyle on nett 79.
