Glad to be back playing golf

SENIORS - 34 Seniors took part in a new pairs Greensome Stableford, writes Janet Dack.

The day started dry with a keen easterly wind but most of the field had to contend with rain long before the finish.

Only one point separated the three leading teams and the winners, having endured the worst of the conditions, were Malcolm Glass and Iain Bain with 34 points.

Second, a stroke behind, with 33 points, were Chris Walker and Bob Berry and third, with 32 points, Clive Davie and Roger Wright. There was one 2, from the combined talents of Bill Polley and Leighton Morgan

LADIES - With the course a little wet underfoot but the weather really warm it was a pleasure to be on the course for the Winter League competition which was won by Alison Cook. She beat Barbara Cummings on countback.

MAIN CLUB - The results of the last two Sunday competitions are as follows.

The Winter League competition was won by Robert Gray and Peter Smith with their nett 64 beating Andrew Chadwick and Steve Read on countback. Third place went to Stuart Mackie and Paul Keats with a nett 65.

The Anchor and Dolphin Cup competiton was won by Stuart Dickson with 37 points ahead of Simon Sweetland in second with 35 points and, in third place on countback, Nigel Garwood with 34 points.
