Honiton FC u8s v West Hill (2-0); Hemyock (4-1)

Honiton played West Hill Wasps in the first game and started well with Peter Osborne and Mason Doble playing well in midfield.

They went ahead when Bailey Williams’ shot was saved but Harry Smith was on hand to score with the rebound. In the second half, Wasps pushed but Honiton, with Tyler Pendrick and Harvey Hayson, kept them at bay. A great save by Isaac Lidster and a great tackle from Jack Beaven kept it 1-0 and, with time running out, a quick throw-in by Liam Osborne found Williams who scored with a great goal low drive to finished 2-0 to Honiton. Bailey Williams got Man of the Match for his forward work and a great finishes.

Honiton played Hemyock and found themselves 1-0 down early on but with some great work from Jacob England, who turned well and scored in the bottom right hand corner, it was 1-1 at half time. In the second half Honiton got on the front foot and pushed on with Jamie Salter working hard. Liam Osborne got the ball on halfway and found Bailey Williams who beat the keeper with a great finish. Soon it was 3-1 when Mason Doble won the ball and passed it to Jacob England who scored. Late on Honiton scored direct from a corner by Liam Osborne and it finished 4-1. Jacob England was Man of the Match .

for his great play and Jack Beaven got player of the day for his great defending in the both games. Manager Garry Osborne and coach Dave Hayson was very pleased with the teamwork by all the players and said it was a pleasure to see how far the team has come from the start of the season.
