Hannah Welch (Bronze Lawrance) held on to win the Synderborough Farm Ltd Rising Stars area points championship by three points. The Championship trophy was presented by sponsor Stewart Pike of Sidbury. It was a Dartmoor Hunt/Pony Club 1,2,3, as second was Pippa Glanville (Ravara Super Ted) and third in the championship was Barnaby Treneer (Talponciau Perfect Print). Points for the championship can be earned in every race throughout the season with 10 points for a win down to 1pt for 10th place.A new trophy this year, the Allerton Organics Shield, presented by George Welch, for the points champion in the opposite height category to the overall winner, went to Torrington Farmers-qualified Josie Gordon who was having her last pony race ride in the finals, as she has now turned 16. Josie has had a great season and is off to the British Racing School in the Autumn. Second and third in that were Henry Armstrong and Chloe Grove. A new prize this season was presented by Everys solicitors.Hoodies for the first three home in the championships were presented by Stephen Clegg on behalf of sponsors Everys. Championship rosettes were presented by Devon Rosettes. The Alan Walter Horse Transport Trophy, presented to the rider whose race riding has improved most during the season was presented to Pippa Glanville. This trophy is judged throughout the season with the result kept secret until the presentation.
