This week the Honiton ladies played the Daily Mail foursomes qualifier and also a foursomes Stableford over either 10 or 18 holes, writes Liz Rogers.

Maris Dart, playing with her partner Julie Eyles in the 10-hole competition which they won with 16 points, had a hole-in-one at the second. Afterwards she generously provided Pimms for the players in celebration.

Congratulations, to Maris.

The Daily Mail Qualifier itself, played over 18 holes, was won by Heather Clarke and Olwen Eaton with a very good score of 37 points.

Second was Chris Luttman and Sue Ritchie with 36 and third went to Jackie Seager and Henrietta Bradshaw with 35. Heather and Olwen will go forward to represent the club in the Daily Mail foursomes, which is a national knock-out competition.
