Honiton bowlers contested a brace of friendlies in the past week, writes Julie Grant.
Neither game produced a defeat as one was won and the other drawn.
The draw came in the meeting with Madeira (61-all) with the top Honiton rink being the one of David Tooley, June Lee, Rosemary Hirons, and Cyril Dann (22-14).
The win was against Dunkeswell, 56-46, with a top rink of Les Crook, Harry Riley, Judith Broom, and Brenda Harris (29-9).
Honiton ladies also recorded a win when they took on the DCLIB Patrons, beating them 66-48, with a splendid 31-9 top rink of Di Hawkins, June Lee, Berry Maynard and Rita Barwick.
The club is looking forward to finals weekend starting this Friday (March 11) evening and then all day Saturday and Sunday.
