Honiton Anniversary Salver success for Cockett and Clark

Fifty-eight Honiton seniors played in the Anniversary Salver pairs competition on a wet course, writes Liz Rogers.

This year’s winners were Bob Cockett and Peter Clarke, scoring 40 points.

In second place, with 39 points, were Alan Pollock and Tony Proudfoot, beating Mike Watts and Paul Ritchie on countback.

Third and fourth places had to be decided on the last three holes’ score with Ron Rogers and Howard Clarke beating Den Calver and Brian Morrison after both pairs tied on 38 points.
