Honiton bag victory in Two County’s League meeting with Cullompton

It’s been a busy, and successful past week at Honiton Bowls Club, writes Tony Broughton.

There was another good result for the Two County’s League side who were winners on three of the four rinks played with Cullompton.

The top Honiton scorers were Peter Baker, Gerry Stafrace, Malcolm Seaborne and Kieran Daniels, 27-11.

The ladies had a two rinks to one success away against Feniton. The winning rinks were; Shirley Hiscocks, Thelma Flynn and Di Hawkins (20-13) and Anne Hillyear, Daphne Courtney and Berry Maynard (17-12) whilst Rita Barwick, Carol Armitage and Joan Mackintosh were edged out 16-15.

The results in the men’s Over-60s League were not good! All three teams only managed to get two points from their games.

I am still confident the B and C teams will stay where they are, but the A team must do better than Phear Park B next week to stay in Division Six
