This week saw two Mixed Friendly Triples matches played by the bowlers of Honiton and it was a story of one defeat, followed by an excellent win on the road.
The first match was played at home when a strong ISCA side visited Honiton. There was some terrific bowling on display from both sides before Isca powered through to a 55-74. Top rink on the day for Honiton was T Linsdale, B Baker and G Osborne, who triumphed with a win of 22 – 13.
Honiton then dusted off that minor disappointment to set off for a trip to Budleigh Bowls Club. It was, once again, an entertaining contest and Honiton proved the more ruthless outfit, eventually running our as 42 – 28 victors. The top rink for Honiton was G Osborne, D Young, J Sherwood, who won their match by a powerful score of 27 – 12.
