New sponsor, Manders Financial Services, were given a warm reception when they attended Honiton Bowling Club’s social evening for the first time.

There were in excess of 65 members in attendance to welcome the new sponsors and enjoy an evening barbeque.

The very active club, which was established in 1921, hold regular social events throughout the year where members can get together and meet.

This year the club members are raising money for the new East Devon Hospice Day Centre, soon to be opened in Honiton. A raffle was held on the night with prizes donated by the new sponsor, which raised a further £100 towards the club’s £1,000 target for the charity.

“We were delighted to be able to support the club in this. As a business it is very important for us to work with people who share the same values and have a ‘can do’ approach to life – and that is certainly the case with Honiton Bowling Club. It was our pleasure to be able to help them in their fundraising efforts and we look forward to many more opportunities,” said Jenny Manders, Director of Manders Financial Services.
