Honiton bowlers impress in early season Over-50s matches

Honiton Ladies started the season winning both their Over-50s league matches, writes Joan Mackintosh.
First up the ladies banked all eight points from a fine win over Feniton with the top Honiton rink being the one of V Kille, J Heard, T Lambert (25-8).
The second success, also an eight point one, came with victory over Crediton.
In this match the top rink was the one of B Maynard, Tracy Lambert, J Sherwood (20-13).
There was a friendly encounter at Ottery St Mary that the home side won 107-81.

In the match at Ottery the top Honiton rink, 19-all, comprised M Critchley, M Granger, D Courtney, T Lambert.
There was another friendly played at Taunton Vivary. When tea time arrived the scores were level, but the rain also turned up and that delayed the start of the second half. When play did restart, Honiton went on to seal a 72-63 success.
