Honiton Indoor Bowling Club will host the Disability Bowls England Triples Competion for the South West, writes Joan Mackintosh.

Disability Bowls England, a newly established charity (August 2015) set up to fill the void for disabled bowlers in provision of disability specific bowls opportunities, has arranged an Inter Club Triples Indoor Bowls Competition at five different venues throughout England.

The South West area competition is to be held at Honiton Bowling Club on Saturday, March 14, from 10am - 5pm and has been generously sponsored by Select Windows of Honiton. There will be eight teams competing at each venue. Each team will consist of three players from the same club, be of any age and ability, and have a physical, sensory, memory or learning difficulty.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the club and support these bowlers on March 14.

In matches played this past week: Honiton played a Mixed Friendly match at home against Budleigh. Although losing (25 - 41) it was an exciting game with two joint top rinks.
