The Honiton Captain’s Charity Open, raised over £600 for Trip and the Memory Café, writes John Pawley.
Thanks were given to the Sponsors Eden Vauxhall Honiton and the Otter Brewery. With 136 competitors, the winners were Mercy and Steve Lamb from the China Fleet GC, Cornwall with 45 points and the best placed Honiton pair were Ben Phillips and James Spiller with 44 points - winning the Mary Goddard Trophy.
Meanwhile, Honiton’s Palairet team recorded an emphatic four-and-a-half to a half success over Budleigh Town when they met in a second round tie at Sidmouth. Honiton now await to hear who their third round opponents will be.
