The 2015 Club Captain’s Day proved to be a huge success, writes Liz Rogers.

Always one of the main events in the calendar, a full house of 120 players turned out this time in the rain to compete for an excellent prize table provided by the captain.

The rain did not dampen spirits and some excellent golf was played especially from Paul Richie who clearly likes playing in the rain.

Paul won the main Captain’s Prize with 42 points and that got him a handicap reduction.

After the prize giving, members were treated to an impressive Professional Golf Trick Show outside the clubhouse.

Members then enjoyed a splendid evening listening, and dancing, to an excellent live Jazz Band.

The club captain and social committee used the day as an opportunity to raise funds for the club and in the region of £1500 was collected.
