The sunny dry weather continued for Festival Week at Honiton Golf Club, writes John Pawley.

On Monday, the away leg of the Stan Parker trophy took place at Exeter, where the seniors team went down by four-and-a-half to one-and-a-half so now need to win the home leg by a similar margin in July to retain the trophy.

With many other events scheduled at the club, the usual monthly mixed draw took place on Tuesday, with 32 entrants playing a greensomes.

The Chivers Centenary Goblets were won by Sue Ritchie and James Liell with 37 points, followed by Linda Northover and Barry Rogers with 35 points.

Third place was taken by Andrea Squire and Paul Ritchie with 34 points, just ahead of Janet Portlock and John Ward on countback.
