Aimee Deam, Erin Blackmore, Hollie Moulton and Megan Jones represented Honiton Community College (HCC) at the National School Gymnastics Competition in Stoke-on-Trent.

Aimee Deam and Erin Blackmore were in superb form and ended up a fraction of a mark away from the gold medal.

Competing in the Under-14 girls’ pairs, the duo were beaten by a pair from Northern Ireland who outscored them by 0.1 points to take the top honour.

Hollie Moulton and Megan Jones finished fifth in the Over-14 girls category.

The HCC students had qualified for the championships after taking gold at the South West Championships held earlier this year.
