The Honiton Crib League managed to re-arrange and successfully hold their Crib Drive that was postponed earlier in the year owing to the snowfall on March 1, writes Alan Freemantle.
As a result of the evening that was rescheduled, the league will now be able to donate all monies collected from both the crib drive and draw from our very generous players, to our charity, which again will be Cancer Research UK, who will receive a total of £350.
The winners of the Honiton Crib League Crib Drive 2018 trophies and prize money are John Griffiths and Brenda Flood, both crib players from the Thirsty Farmer, Whimple.
The runners-up are Glynis and David Vaughan, former players for the Feniton Social Club crib team.
Also on the night, Sue Jarman was presented with a special certificate for scoring 28 points in one hand while playing in one of last season’s league matches.
