There are just 11 days remaining as Honiton Cricket Club look to continue their fund raising efforts to buy much needed new nets at their Mountbatten Park home.

The original target of £3,000 looks to be being passed with some ease which allows the club to extend the appeal to £5,000.

To date the club has been stunned by the extraordinary generosity of supporters and, in particular, the business community.

Recently the fund has been boosted by £500 from Fred Champion Groundworks, £250 from Devon Tiles, £100 from PFG Fabrications and £50 from both Clifton Emery Design and Ruddlesden Geotechnical.

A club press release reads: “As a result of the immediate response we are going to stretch our target to £5,000. These funds will put us in an even better position with funding partners and demonstrate how keen to progress as a club and provide cricketing opportunities for those in and around Honiton and particularly the younger members.”
