Honiton men’s Dartmoor League kicked off last weekend with a trip to the south coast, away at Thurlestone, writes Ann Desmoulins.

Two strong teams battled hard with plenty of good golf, with the home team of Thurlestone nicking the last match on the last hole to win the match 3-2.

This still represents a very good result for Honiton, who gained an invaluable two points from the away fixture.

Whilst the Dartmoor League team were battling away at Thurlestone, Honiton’s B Team had a more local battle on their hands with a home match against the foes from Sidmouth. A strong performance from Honiton resulted in a convincing 5-1 win, the second strong win in a row, which bodes well for a strong season ahead!
