Sidmouth Raiders 0, Honiton Devils 1 Honiton Devils Under-10s were worthy of this clean sheet triumph, writes Sean Brown.
Devils switched some players around in positional terms to allow individual s to experience different tasks in the team. Jai Freemantle and River Leisk did well defending in the early exchanges.
Connor Brown and Ewan Evans were lively in midfield and Dominic McCreadie-Taylor, supported by skipper Haydon Owen, kept a well-organised set of Raiders defenders on their toes. After the break the Devils began to tire, but the hard-working duo of Joe Evans and Jai Freemantle denied the Raiders. Remaining positive the Devils pressed forward and, in the dying embers of the game the ball fell to Connor Brown who prodded home from two-yards out to seal a narrow victory.
