Honiton ladies section contested a brace of trophies, writes Liz Rogers.

The Grannies Cup was won by Sue Ritchie with a core of 37 points and that got her a handicap reduction to 16.

Jan Portlock was the runner-up with 33 points.

The Bournemouth Cup was won by Gill Johnson (36 points), with Sharon Dacre as runner-up with 32 points.

In terms of the stableford results – The Silver Division was won by Sue Ritchie with 37 points. Jackie Seager (33) came second. Bronze Division One was won by Gill Johnson with 36 points with Penny Blackburn edging out Sharon Dacre for the runners-up spot after countback was called into play with both recording scores of 33 points.

Bronze Division Two saw Jan Portlock take first place with 33 points. Sheila Palmer was second with 31 points. The 9-hole stableford competition was won by Joy Kerr with 10 points.

Last, but certainly not least, a lovely warm Monday with just a gentle breeze greeted the past lady captains who contested the Margaret Courtney Salver. This year the winner was Jackie Seager.
