Honiton Golf Club members enjoy annual break to Bowood Park.

Thirty members from Honiton Golf Club enjoyed the annual Mixed Fours golfing two-day break at Bowood Park, writes Liz Rogers.

Organised by Sue and Paul Ritchie, teams were drawn each day and played in a four-ball better ball stableford format with two scores to count and full handicap allowance.

The first day the winning team with 80 points were Dot Grove, Lesley Oxenham, Steve Blundell and Charlie Doherty.

Second place, with 79 points, went to Linda Blundell, Elizabeth Wood, Laurie Tollemache and Phil Wall.

Seventy-eight points took third position with the team of Catherine Doherty, Olwen Eaton, Bob Barnes and Paul Ritchie.

On the second day, the winners with 75 points were Dot Grove, Elizabeth Wood, Bob Barnes and Bill Eaton. Second place went to Catherine Doherty, Olwen Eaton, Charlie Doherty and Chris Poole and third place was taken by Stephani Barnes, Linda Blundell, Max Pipe and Paul Ritchie with 73 points.

The sun shone on both days and well done to Sue and Paul for once again arranging a splendid away break.
