Organised by St Michael’s Church, West Hill, a charity golf day took place at Honiton Golf Club to raise money for Hospiscare, writes Liz Rogers.

Fifty-two players, in teams of four, played a four ball, better-ball format with two scores to count. Clear winners, with a magnificent score of 93 points, were the team of James Leisk, Dale Morgan, Phil Reed and Jeff Lyon.

Many local businesses and individuals generously provided prizes, which, combined with the generosity of the players, led to an overall profit and donation to Hospiscare of £1,006.

The day concluded with an excellent two-course meal provided by the Honiton Golf Club caterers. The organisers would like to thank all those who helped to make this such a successful and worthwhile fund-raising event.
