Archant

Honiton ladies’ played a competition that involved players using just four clubs and a putter, writes Liz Rogers.

That’s not easy at the best of times, and certainly not in current conditions!

The format was stableford in teams of three with the best two scores to count.

The winners were Chris Pearce, Cathy Uttley and Linda Mclaughlin with 67 points.

Hot on their heels, with 66 points, were the threesome of Janet Hughes, Cherry Liell and Brenda Hyde.

There was some very commendable scoring given the wet and windy conditions.
