There was a special Friday 13 event for Honiton Gold Club last week, writes Liz Rogers.

The club’s professional and manager together with club captain Stewart Slater, donned chef whites and served up a three course meal to 30 invited guests in the aid of the club’s nominated charity, the Baton.

The event, which was held at the recently opened Urban Coast Cafe in the town, proved a great success.

The grand sum of £550 was raised on the evening and this will be added to monies being raised at the club this year for the Baton.
