The Easter Egg competition on Easter Monday was unable to be played because of the rain, writes Ann Desmoulins.
However, Jackie Seager, our Honiton Golf Club chairman, came up with the idea of a Royal Wedding Eggstravaganza Mixed Greensomes Competition to coincide with the Royal Wedding Day.
The weather was perfect and the course was in excellent condition. In third place were Jackie and Allan Seager with 40 points. Ladies’ captain Liz Rogers and seniors’ vice captain Steve Butcher also scored 40 points, but managed second place on countback.
The very worthy winners were Chris Luttman and Bill Eaton with 43 points.
There were no twos recorded so a card draw was made and Penny Blackburn and Hayden McCance shared nine balls.
