Julian Phillips won the Devon Past Captains event held at Exeter GCC with 110 past Captains playing. Julian posted a stableford score of 41 points, including an albatross.
Honiton's Lyme Regis Jurassic Trophy Team, David Rouse, Derek Keen, John Jackson, Peter Morgan, Larry Goodliffe, Nigel Broadbent, Tony Williams and Jim Wallis won the 4BBB competition.
The annual Margaret Courtney Salver golf competition took place at Honition Golf Club this week. The competition, open only to Lady captains past and present, was won by Liz Rogers with 54 on the front 9 and 51 on the back 9, with three pars, beating Olwen Eaton, by just 1 shot to score 77. Olwen scored 78 and in third place was Janet Hughes with 82.
It was a comfortable win for Lesley Oxenham and John Harvey, scoring 44 points in the latest mixed competition. Second place was decided on countback, and it was Georgie Hope-Edwards and Andy Dawe who took the prize with 41 points.
