Honiton U9s faced their toughest opponents by far for the last match of the season.
The visitors from Exeter Athletic only fielded seven players, whereas Honiton had a squad twice the size, so split into two teams.
Honiton rose to the occasion with some strong performances all around, scoring plenty of tries and having an enjoyable, entertaining and certainly physical session of rugby.
Exeter Athletic meant business, tackled hard and organised themselves well on the field, even showing flashes of sheer brilliance at times. They also had one memorable player who was a head and shoulders above his team-mates in stature!
He was able to keep moving with three or four Honiton players doing their very best to bring him down.
Great experience for the home team, and plenty of lessons to take away and learn from. Well played Exeter Athletic, we hope that we’ll come out on top next season.
